On the 10th of February there was a meeting of non-commercial foundation “Chukotka association of traditional sea hunters ”. And the employees of Beringia Park were also invited there. Some of our inspectors take part in their projects and one of them is walrus population research and preserve the traditional knowledge. This association involves them to take biological tests from so-called “stinking” whales. It is already confirmed that there are aldehydes and ketones in the meat and fat. And as a matter of fact people mustn’t eat it. Also some problems of sea mammal hunters were discussed.
